With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melda Linkous (Bluefield, Virginia), who passed away on February 7, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rans Edward and Grace Jane Payne Dangerfield; her husband Billy S. Linkous; her brother R. E. Dangerfield, Jr; and her nephew Jack Litz III.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie (Donna) of Bluefield, VA and Vicky Gillespie (Bob) of Bluefield, VA; her sisters, Carolyn Farley (Harold) of Norfork, VA and Katie Litz (Jack Jr) of Kingsport, TN; her grandchildren, Paul Lazenby (Stephanie) of Walland, TN, Scott Linkous (Meghan) of Fort Mill, SC and Katie Tinder (Douglas) of Bluefield, VA; and her great grandchildren, Scotty Linkous, Rylan Linkous, Sloane Tinder and Lachlan Tinder. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
