She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. James Palmer and Lola Kinney Allen; her husband Robert M. Hamilton; her siblings, Zirl Palmer, Marcella Bane, Lapaz Palmer, Toby Palmer, Jess Palmer, Gervaise King, Jeconiah Palmer, Omega Dowell, Obadiah Palmer and Louise Walker; her son-in-law James Gray, Sr.; and her grandson Justin Dwain Gray.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Henry (Michael) of Bluefield, WV, Janna Gray of Bluefield, VA, Angela Hamilton of Bluefield, VA and Marie Thomas (Nathaniel) of Bowie, MD; her grandchildren, Jay Gray (Sonja), Michael Henry, II (Gretchen), Nichole Hairston (Deshaun), Robert Henry (Sarah), Maegan Henry and Sydney Thomas; her great grandchildren, Kayla Hamilton (Anthony), Alisha Gray, Ty Gray, Raven Adams, Ja'nise Lanier, Ta'Lease Potter, Kiann Potter, Jamia Hairston and Jeremiah Hairston; her great great grandchildren, Gabriel Gray-Davis, Arya Gray-Davis, Grayson, Gianna and Alaynah Henry; her sister-in-law Nancy Grayson; and her cousin Mildred Stevens. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church (113 Wilson St, Bluefield, VA 24605). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
