He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawrence Kersey, Jr. and Kate Osborne Kersey; and his son William Barton Kersey. He is survived by: his wife Delia Ann Chamberlin Kersey; his sons, J. Nelson Kersey, Jr. (Erika) of Warrenton, VA and Kyle S. Kersey (Tara) of Christiansburg, VA; his siblings, Betsy Sagady (Ron) of Princeton, WV and Tom Kersey of Bluefield, VA; and his grandchildren, Katherine, Zach, Justin, Luke, James, Sean, Rachel, Edgar, Lucelle, John-Francis, Owen, William, Kyle, Ashley, Sophia and Josie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
