He was predeceased by: his parents, John Calvin Sluss and Fordie Helen Martin Sluss; his wife Janet Bernice Davis Sluss; his son Jerry Sluss; his brother Robert Sluss; and his grandson Jeremy Sluss.
He is survived by: his children, Frederick Darryall Sluss (Nancy) of Willis, TX, Jonathan Nathaniel Sluss (Dawn) of Bumpass, VA, Sherry Melton (James) of San Antonio, TX, Barbara Coble of Abbs Valley and Charlotte Sluss (John) of Somerset, VA; and his sisters, Peggy Napier of Virginia and Loretta Crabtree of Fredericksburg, VA.. He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren also survive, with one great-great grandchild.
