He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Scott McCoy and Mae Cline McCoy; his wife Emma Mae McCoy (Jobill); his daughter Diana Lynn Ball; and his siblings, Phyllis McCoy Coleman, Larry McCoy and Gary Scotty McCoy.
He is survived by: his son A. Brian McCoy (Pat Bowles McCoy) of Bluefield, VA; his sisters, Jeanne Cooper of Piney Flats, TN, Beverly Looney of Pompano Beach, FL, Penny McCallum of High Point, NC, Judy Little (Don) of Doswell, VA, Sharon Collins of Cedar Bluff, VA and Robin McCoy Bostic (Arnie) of Abingdon, VA; his grandchildren, Taylor McCoy (Allison Otis McCoy) of Christiansburg, VA and Dana Furstnau of Midlothian, VA; his great grandchildren, Anthony Furstnau of Rural Retreat, VA and Alexis Darlington of Midlothian, VA; his great great grandchild Oaklynn Rose Darlington of Midlothian, VA; his friends, Maggie Browning of Bluff City, TN, Flo Ratliff of Tazewell, VA, Malcom and Sandy Browning; and also, Archie and Sharlene "Charley" McCoy. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Bluefield Union Mission and the American Cancer Society.
