Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shirley Slocum (Blue Ridge, Virginia), born in Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 84, on February 24, 2019. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouses, Lowell Thomas Harris and William Woodrow Slocum; her sons, Charles M. Harris (Chuck) and David L. Harris; her siblings, Thelma Lipford Smith, Nelson Beverly Lipford and James Walker Lipford; her sons, Tommy (Tammy Harris) of Stuart, Nelson Harris of Shacklefords, VA and Mark Harris of Blacksburg; her sister Beverly L. Yeager of Martinsville; her daughter Linda (Joe Porter) of Martinsville; and her grandchildren, Amanda Aiken (Jeremy) of Oxford, NC, T. J. Harris (Tyler) of Henderson, NC and Brooklyn Martin of Stuart. She was also cherished by five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to One Accord Baptist Church, 3630 Kings Mtn.
