He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowry Thomas Wilkes and Clara Gillespie Wilkes; his wife Nancy Louise Thomas Wilkes; his son Mark Thomas Wilkes; and his siblings, Norman (James Wilkes), Ruby Foster, Thelma Walker and Lois Foster (Edith Bird).
He is survived by: his children, Steven Wilkes (Drema), Robin Wilkes and Scott Wilkes (Jenny); his sister Doris Wheeler; his grandchildren, Landon Wilkes (Lauren), Jonas and Ashby Wilkes; and his great grandchildren, Kobe, Kora and Kali Wilkes.
