He was predeceased by: his parents, Offit Garland and Minnie Catherine Runion Caplinger; and his former wife Josephine Sanchez Caplinger. He is survived by: his children, Larry A. Caplinger, II of Rockingham and Michelle Pate (Billy) of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Ashley Smallwood of Rockingham and Jordan Caplinger of Indianapolis, IN; and his great grandchildren, Colton and Caleb Smallwood. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
