She was predeceased by: her husband Albert L. Stevens. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Charles Stevens (Mary Rose) and Catherine Childress; and her grandchildren, Andrea Rice (Tyler Rice), Eric Childress and Rachel Lewis (Brian Lewis). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“In loving memory of Auntie Irene, Dearly loved. Sadly missed. I envision her joining husband and family, celebrating in heaven. I have many fond memories of Auntie from her BBQ chicken at her home in Mass. to broccoli slaw she served at her home in Va. and her favored phrase, "you know what I mean". The ceramic pieces that she made remind me of her. I even have the ceramic tree that she made for her sister Rita, my mom. May your memories bring you comfort. Love and hugs, Janet and Larry”
