She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles T. Watkins and Trula G. Watkins; her husband Julian S. Fant; her son Julian Fant Jr. (Juddy); her brother William T.; and her sister-in-law Betty D. Watkins.
She is survived by: her daughter Margaret Hartmann (Charlie Perkinson) of Bent Mountain; her grandson Erich (Michelle Hartmann) of Ardsley, N. Y.; her great grandchildren, Max and Thatcher Hartmann; her sister Peggy W. Wharton of Greensboro, N. C.; and her nieces, Marcy (Steve Fisk) of Roanoke, Drs and Dottie (Tom Jordan).
Doris' request was that all memorial donations in her name be directed to The Help Fund at Second Presbyterian Church, Roanoke, Va.
