With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Irvin Burford of Bloxom, Virginia, born in Nassawadox, Virginia, who passed away on February 19, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Coleburn Burford Sr. and Helen Jenkins Burford; his siblings, Alfred "Coleburn" Burford Jr. and Connie Coleburn Burford; his niece Teresa "Tessie" Taylor; and his friend George "Jim" Turner.
He is survived by: his niece Connie Burford; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Coleby and Caleb Burford of Bloxom; his nephew Richie Burford (Linda) of Princess Anne; his sister-in-law Dottie Turner of Hallwood; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyle Burford of Salisbury, Ryan Taylor of Parksley, Ashley Padgett (Matt) and Lauren Taylor of Hallwood; and also, Tyler and Hailey Padgett of Hallwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Shore Chapter of the Special Olympics, Area 19 via SOVA Area 19.
