He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Bennett and Daphnia Antwine Bennett; his son John Christopher Bennett; his siblings, Peggy Alphin, Joann Havrilla, Bill Bennett and Lynwood Hawkins; and his grandchild Spirit Grow.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Lassiter Bennett; his children, Jolynn Bennett Perry (Ron), Jennifer Bennett Eder (David), Jonathan Pereira-Bennett (Alberto) and Gene Rouse; his brother Ralph Bennett; his grandchildren, Tucker Greer, Aspen, Caleb Perry, Ember, Brittney Eder (Juan Bell) and Alexis Merritt; his great grandchildren, Lukas, Kyleigh Bell and Olivia Joy Haymond; and his close friends, Ricky, Carla Hinman and Willow.
