He was predeceased by: his parents, Gralyn "Toby" George and Gleasie Ward Young; his grandparents, Roland Thomas, Mary Ward, Fentress and Flora Young; his cousin Robert Young (Bonnie); and his parents-in-law, Roy and Betty Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Lynn; his daughter Ashley Lynn Young (John Travis); his grandchildren, Toby Thomas Travis, Hayley Lynn Travis and Joshua Roy Travis; his brother Roland F. Young (Esther); his niece Nikki; his brother Wayne Young; his nephew Matt; his niece Stephanie Young; his uncle Burleigh Ward (Carolyn); his cousin Steve Young (Margaret); and also Everett Tyndall. He is also survived by several other cousins and friends.
