He was predeceased by: his parents, George Robert and Mary Lawson Smith. He is survived by: his wife Polly Smith; his children, Pam Collins (Gary), Jerry Smith, Connie Puckett (Ray), Kim Goins (John), Sue Umbarger, Patty Hankins (Rich) and Patrick Smith (Helen); and his siblings, Lloyd, Roba, Clyde Smith (Jean) and Effie Fuller. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
