He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Palmer and Gertrude Robinson Palmer; and his siblings, Glenn Palmer, Gerald Palmer and Judy Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Shrader Palmer; his daughters, Kelly Conrad and Jennifer Heatherington; his son-in-law Tim Heatherington; his grandchildren, Declan Heatherington, Carys Heatherington, Lydia Santillan and Natalie Conrad; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Shrader (Ronnie), Tom Shrader and Joyce Shrader. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Gordy's memory be made to the Bland United Methodist Church.
