He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Wagner Townley and Elvira Kirby Davis Townley; and his siblings, Herman Townley, Beulah and Kathleen.
He is survived by: his close friend Eula Mae Catterton; his daughters, Sue Cregger (James "Peanut") and Dorie Shupe (late Mike); his grandchildren, Amie Newberry (Robert), Christina Gray (Eric), Annette Dax (Wayne), Michael Shupe and Kirby Shupe; his great grandchildren, Jasmine Newberry, Camden Newberry, Evan Gray, Parker Jones and Kylie Shupe; his nephew Gregory Puckett (Patti); his niece Deborah Hicks; his great-niece Katie Mallory; his caregiver Amy M.; and also, Landon Carter, London Mallory and Laton Mallory.
