He was predeceased by: his parent Rufus Havens; his wife Marlene Blankenship Havens; his granddaughter Brandi Sutherland; his great grandchild Levi Smith; and his brothers, Hale Havens and Raymond Havens.
He is survived by: his parent Lida Hughes Havens; his daughters-in-law, Darrell, Tammie Havens, Greg, Pam Havens and Todd Havens; his grandchildren, Mark Smith, Colton Havens, RheaAnn Havens, Bryce Havens, Caitlin Green and Sara Crouse; his siblings-in-law, Garland, Kathy Havens, Dane, Jane Havens, Irma Havens and Marie; his son White Gate; and also, Jerry Yates, Larry, Darlene Blankenship, Debbie, Junior Akers and Mary Ann Blankenship.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the funeral home from 5:00P.M. until 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making memorial donations in his honor to either Shiloh Cemetery, c/o Janet Wright, 2171 Wilderness Rd., Bland, VA 24315 or the Hollybrook Community Building, c/o Elaine Havens, Flat Top Rd., Bland, VA 24315.
