He was predeceased by: his father Harold Glenn Anderson; his former wife Julie Forbes Anderson; and his sister Peggy Anderson Rasmussen. He is survived by: his wife Diane Alderman Anderson; his children, Thomas Alderman, Christie Alderman Scalf (Chris), Alana J. Anderson Clay (Justin), Andrew J. Anderson (Devin) and Alexander J. Anderson (Adalae); his sister Kathleen Biancaniello (Stefano); and his brothers-in-law, John Rasmussen and Joseph Wampler (Gail). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, one great-grandson, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
