It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edwin Hester of Blairs, Virginia, born in Bladenboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Lawson Hester and Ollie Pait Hester; and his brothers, Gordon Hester and Bobby Hester. He is survived by: his wife Faye Adkins Hester; his children, Robin Hester and Richard Hester; his grandchildren, Kimberly Butler (Stephen), Christopher Agee (Miranda), Elise Arianna Hester and Miracle Eve Hester; his great grandchildren, Candyce Butler, Autumn Agee, Christian Agee and Kashton Butler; and his siblings, Earl Hester (Peggy), Steven Hester (Kay), Janice Packard (Willie), Julia Pait (Denny) and Frances Lee (Jerry).
