He was predeceased by: his parents, Garrie Burton Thompson, Sr. and Elizabeth Raines Thompson; and his daughter Laura Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Hall Thompson; his children, Marion T. Taylor and Garrie Burton Thompson, III (Lore Hummel); his brothers, Francis F. Thompson and Robert B. Thompson; his nephew Scott H. Thompson; and his nieces, Dale T. Brumfield and Jessica T. Broskie.
