She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Giles Newby and James Newby; her husband Earl Junior Goad; and her son David A. Goad. She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Wells of Dry Fork, VA and Wanda Goad of Durham, NC; and her grandchildren, David Murphy (Stacy), Leigh Murphy and Robin Brown (Todd). She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
