He was predeceased by: his parents, Oland Thore and Dorothy Conner Thore; his wife Aileen Taylor Thore; and his brother Charles Thore. He is survived by: his children, Kim Jackson (Theron), Kevin Thore (Leigh), Bill Gatewood (Julia) and Suzan DeNune (Rob); and his grandchildren, Samantha Hill, Tiffany Dean (John), Bradley Gatewood, Benjamin Evans (Caylan), Blayre Burke (Joe) and Breelyn DeNune. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
