It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Dee Jones of Blairs, Virginia, born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on January 21, 2022, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Calvin Dee Jones; and his brothers, Spencer Haymore and Malcolm Jones. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Lewis Chaney; his children, Josh Jones of Providence, NC, Taylor Gammon of Danville and Stephanie Ledbetter of Houston, TX; and his siblings, Ricky Jones (Paula) of Chatham, VA, Mike Jones (Emily) of Danville, Eddie Chaney of Florida and Pam Sowers of Florida. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
