He is survived by: his father Lloyd Speers; his siblings, Ivory, Esmond, Imogene, Walter, Beulah, Margaret and Byron; his wife Glenda Speers; his children, Joan Speers and Randall Speers (Jeremia); his granddaughters, Brittany Elaine Davis and Ally Steadman-Cowan (Grayson); his great grandchildren, Avett Steadman, Adler Cowan and Ames Cowan; his sister-in-law Karen Hood; and also, Fred Bledsoe and Robert Slone. He is also survived by pops, and friend.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Garley Hood Cemetery.
