She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey Gilbert, Sr.; her parents, Vernon Davis and Ruth Stewart Davis; her siblings, Rev. Willie E. Davis, Vernon Davis, Jr., Reuben P. Davis and Dixie L. Bullock; and her stepfather Callis B. Silvester.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Shelton (C. C. "Bud" Shelton), Connie Elaine Bigelow (Montie) and W. H. "Buddy" Gilbert, Jr. (Nina). She is also survived by 5 step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
