He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Bowen and Minnie Bowen (Fritz); and his sister Stella Mae Mendenhall. He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald Bowen, Mary Blalock and Peggy Inman; and his close friend Freddie Williams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and one of his favorite cousins.
