He is survived by: his children, Glenda Pennington (Rick) of Blackwater, VA., Patricia Moore (Robert) of Rose Hill, VA., Mary Wilder of Jonesville, VA., Jackie Woodard (Pete) of Jonesville, VA., Keith Shirks (Delores) of Morristown, TN. and James Michael Shirks; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Chanda, Rebecca, Eric, Austin, Megan, Joslynn, Jessee, Bobby, Dana, Misty, Stephanie, Dustin, Heather, Dewey, Summer, Woodrow of David, T. J., Joey, Shane, Julianne, Brooke, Emily, Bailey, Madison, Jaxon, Shawn, Kevin, Mark, Chastidy and Crystal; his siblings, Tammy Shirks of Pennington Gap, VA, Rachel Shirks, Betty Flannary of Kingsport, TN., Earl Shirks of Pennington Gap, VA. and Tommy Phillips (Tracy) of Pennington Gap, VA.; and his daughters, Bailey (Jaxon), Maddison and Breanna Rasnake (Aaron Rowe). He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
