It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarrah Margaret Hylemon of Blackstone, Virginia, who passed away on January 19, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Franklin Underwood and Mary Davis Underwood; her husband Leonard Hylemon, Sr.; and her son Leonard Hylemon, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Benny Hylemon, Linda Cecil, Kathy Hylemon, Patricia Angle (Elliott), Janet Kerr (Charlie), Douglas Hylemon (Marsha) and Michelle Hylemon; and her sisters, Maude Harris, Mary Brown and Dorothy Brush. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamner-McMillian Chapel (1400 S Main St, Blackstone, VA 23824). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeview Cemetery (802 College Ave, Blackstone, VA 23824).
