He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Wright Morgan; and his son Lorenzo. He is survived by: his family Lois; his children, Mary Elizabeth Wynn, Mary Alice Pettis and Edward Morgan; his daughter-in-law Sarah Morgan; his grandchildren, Thomas Wynn, Jr. (Toni), John Pettis, Jr. (Heather), Nicole Johnson (Eric), Derese Wynn, Adrienne Harris (Reny) and Dezi Raye Sheets; his siblings, Leroy Morgan (Louise), Dennis Morgan and Ellen Credle (Milford); his siblings-in-law, James Wright (Iris), Mamie Morgan and Mable Stokes; his nephew Clarence "Skipper" Morgan; his friend Hattie Jones; and also Thad Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
