She was predeceased by: her husband John Lewis Powers (Jack); her parents, Charles Henry Taylor and Claudene Breedlove Taylor; her sister Judy Taylor Burgess; and her parents-in-law, Lewis John and Mary Harvey Powers.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Taylor Powers; her close friend Geraldine Miller-Snyder of Roanoke; her brother Charles Henry Taylor, Jr. (David Deberry) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; her nieces, Alice Gail Matthews (Kevin) and Leslie Jean Goodrich (Ronnie) of Wakefield; her brother-in-law Robert Burgess of Wakefield; and her aunt Essie Taylor Bickings. She is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
