She was predeceased by: her parents, Prentiss L. Newcomb and Isabell Daniel Newcomb; and her siblings, Margaret Grant and Lynn Newcomb. She is survived by: her husband Paul W. Lacks; her children, Michael Lacks (Carol) of Crewe, Joyce Mordan (Sam) of Jetersville and Sandy Powers; and her brother Charles (Grace) of Georgia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blackstone Chapel of Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes (1826 Cox Rd, Blackstone, VA 23824). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Dundas Baptist Church (3953 Dundas Rd, Dundas, VA 23938). A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at the Dundas Baptist Cemetery.
