He was predeceased by: his parents, Cennie Craddock Boyd and Horace Boyd, Sr.; his wife Florence Boyd; his daughter Cynthia F. Boyd; and his brothers, John Boyd and Willie Boyd.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Boyd (Melba Andrews) of Blackstone, VA and Rodney Boyd of Petersburg, VA; his grandchildren, Thomas D. Bragg of Blackstone, VA, Senethia Bragg-Hardy (Kevin) of Richmond, VA, Brittany Bragg of Richmond, VA and Justin Boyd of South Hill, VA; and his great grandchildren, Sylvia Fitzgerald of Blackstone, VA and Chad Fortune of Petersburg, VA. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, five sisters-in-law; two close family friends.
