She is survived by: her husband Lewis Johnson; her children, Durrell Hawkes, Brianna Thompson, Shawda Haskins, D'Andre Johnson and Raheem Bragg; her grandchildren, Mireya Martin, Josiah Johnson, Kahlil Bragg and Princeton Gadson; her siblings, Kermit Hawkes Sr. (Lucy), Alton Hawkes Sr., Darrell Hawkes (Lisa), Debbie Hawkes-Lee (James), Chandra Clark (Michael) and Angela Hawkes; her father-in-law Leonard Wallace; her siblings-in-law, Alice Johnson, Pam Howard, Charlene Woodson and Leonard Johnson (Linda); her aunts and uncles, Alice Hawkes, Juanita Hawkes, Cathy Hawkes, Ralph Williams and Ernest Hawkes; her goddaughter Monique Morman; and her friends, Kim Cloyd, Shirley Jackson and Bernice Reed. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. E. Hawkes and Son Funeral Home (504 East St, Blackstone, VA 23824). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Spring Hill Baptist Church (403 Spring Hill, Blackstone, VA 23824).
