It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wolter Fabrycky (Blacksburg, Virginia), who passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis and Stephanie; his wife Luba; his daughter Kathryn; and his siblings, Elizabeth and Jonathan.
He is survived by: his siblings, Virginia and Alan; his son David; and his grandchildren, Jonathan and Stephanie. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church (2101 Shadow Lake Rd, Blacksburg, VA 24060-2048). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Fabrycky Family Cemetery (3900 McCoy Rd, Blacksburg, VA 24060).
Wolter's contributions to the field were recognized through numerous awards and leadership in honor societies, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of engineers.
