He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Marie; and his brothers, Thomas, Charles and James.

He is survived by: his wife Faye; his children, Heidi Christopher (Harper) of Roanoke, Virginia, Thomas (Marisa Harper), Rebecca (Chad Randolph) and Catherine (Jorey Deml); and his grandchildren, Matthew Christopher, Haley Harper, Jack Harper, Jake Randolph, Ella Randolph and Mason Deml.
