He was predeceased by: his parents, Homan Powell and Elizabeth Powell. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Lillie Brinkley Rose; his wife Shirley Rose Powell; his son Bill; his daughter-in-law Debi Powell of Lynchburg, VA; his daughter Stephanie; his son-in-law Davie Key of Roanoke, VA; his grandchildren, Zachary Powell (Sarah) of Tampa, FL, Joshua, Dillon Key of Roanoke, VA and Grace Powell of Lynchburg, VA; and his brothers, Russell Powell and T. A. Powell (Betty). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
