He is survived by: his wife Heather Greer Nelson; his children-in-law, Tory and Shannon; his daughter Krysti; his son-in-law Ryan; his children, Crandall Murphy (Shannon), Wallace Jay Nelson III (Tory), Krystine Hammerle (Ryan), Katherine Nelson and Ben Stovall; his grandchildren, Jackson and Paige Nelson; his sister Jane Shuart (Mark); his nieces, Amy Gingrich (Pete) and Emily Glasscock (Matthew); his sister-in-law Rhonda Falk (Mike); his nephews, T. J. Bourgeois and Brett Bourgeois (Justin); his friend Greg Beato; and also Addison. He is also survived by numerous extended family and cherished friends.
