He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Susie Harrington (Short) and Rube Harrington; his wife Lonia M. Johnson; his sons, Reginald Jerome and Kermith Vernard; his daughters-in-law, Wanda and Tara; his grandchildren, Gale, Giovonni, Marquise and Mallory; his great grandchildren, DeShawn and Jamari; and his sisters, Ermina Peyton of Laurel, Lillie Edwards of Chicago and Geraldine Page of Roanoke. He was also cherished by six siblings.
Due to Covid protocols, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a contribution in memory of Dr. Rube Harrington to a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), such as Tuskegee University.
