She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert J. Boyd and Gladys Dobbins Boyd; her brothers, Robert Boyd, Jr., John Thomas and James R. "Buzzie"; and her husbands, Fred Calfee, Jr., John Lewis Beaver, Elder and David A. Powell, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Calfee-Sherman, Connie Calfee Basham, Theron Calfee, David Powell, Jr. (Norma), Andrew Powell (Lois) and Elder Percy Powell (Van); her great great grandchild Elder Mike Reynolds; and also, Angels, Dr. Joel Hullett and Dr. Sudhendu Choubey. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060).
