He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lillian Swanson and Forrest Swanson; his wife Connie Brown Swanson; his sons, Richard Andrew Swanson (Kimberly) of Fincastle, VA and John Lindsay Swanson (Wendy) of Salem, VA; his sister Charlotte Swanson Smith of Winchester, VA; his grandchildren, Alexander Swanson, Cassidy Holley Lester, Eliza Swanson, Abigail Swanson and Kaitlyn Swanson; and his great grandchild Graham Lester.
