With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Jane Gunsten of Blacksburg, Virginia, born in Mullens, West Virginia, who passed away on July 18, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William G. Callaway and Jane Kinzer Callaway; her former husband Charles T. Brammer; her husband Paul H. Gunsten; her stepson Chip Gunsten; and her sister Lucy Duncan.
She is survived by: her son Charles W.; her daughter-in-law Sylvia Brammer of Amelia Island; her daughters, Linda Kay Brammer of Port Richey and Rebecca A. Brammer of Louisville; her daughter-in-law Kristen Gunsten of Canon City, CO; her stepdaughters, Pam Gunsten and Claujia Richey of Cherokee Village, AR.; her grandchildren, Chad, Hayley Brammer, Scarlet, Mike Dial, Angela Brammer, Derek, Elisabeth Brammer, Amanda Shirley, Trevor, Elizabeth Park, Sarah Krell, Anna Payne, Codi Heieren and Jeffrey Fuller; her great grandchildren, Will, Cameron, Cooper Brammer, Alexa, Luke Dial, Dylan, Emma and Elisa Brammer; and her friends, Ray and Norma Decker of Blacksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Montgomery County, Blacksburg Rescue Squad, or Blacksburg United Methodist Church.
