She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonathan Johnson Mitchell and Bertha Matney Mitchell; her husband Jimmie Countiss; her siblings, George Mitchell, Maebelle Sartain, Joy Taylor and Everette Mitchell; her siblings-in-law, Leo C. Scott, William Sartain and Maxine Mitchell; and her niece Tenesa Mitchell.
She is survived by: her brother Jack Mitchell; her sister-in-law Susan; her sister Rubye Scott; her sister-in-law Marlene Mitchell; and her nieces and nephews, Curtis Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Kim Scott, Patricia Williams, Teresa Mitchell, Jennifer Mitchell, Brenda Tomaszewski and Betsy Bullard.
