He was predeceased by: his son Johnny Piepenbrink of Huntington, WV; and his parents, Elmer Piepenbrink and Nina Piepenbrink of Huntington, WV.. He is survived by: his wife Sally Moberley Piepenbrink; his children, Lisa Gates (Eric) of Martinsburg, WV, Mary Piepenbrink of Wilmington, NC and David (Kelly) of Martinsburg, WV; his sister Ann Gazelle of Columbus, OH.; and his grandchildren, Clark Harrison of Wilmington, NC, Eli Gates, Rachel Piepenbrink of Blacksburg, VA, Grace Piepenbrink of Charlotte, NC, Chanse Harrison (Pallbearers) and Breck Gates.
