He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Carl "Pumpkin" and Beatrice Moses McCoy; his brother Barry McCoy; his stepmother Lourine McCoy; and his brother Charlie "Buster" Carroll.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bridget Linkous and Sonia (Wesley Willis); his grandchildren, Chelsea, Jessie, Michael, Mariah, Savanna, Bryson and Luna; and his siblings, Anita Zwolinski, Andy (Patsy McCoy) and Todd (Connie McCoy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
