She was predeceased by: her parents, James Frank and Minnie Hollandsworth Thornton; and her brothers, Oden Thornton, Garnett Thornton and Johnny Thornton.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Sheppard, Jr.; her children, Lynn Sheppard and Tim Sheppard; her siblings, Cleo McCoy, Carmell Miller and Curtiss; and her sister-in-law Barbara Thornton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
