It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jeraldine Gillespie Almond of Blacksburg, Virginia, who passed away on November 6, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Gillespie and Willie Lucille Gillespie; her husband Richard Almond Sr.; her brothers, Harold Gillespie and Karl Gillespie Sr.; her children, Connie Lowe (Steve), Richard, Jr. Almond (Cheryl) and Tammy Hypes (Allen); her sister Edith Simms; and her siblings-in-law, Donald Almond, Carol Bailey and Carol Ann Almond. She was also cherished by her six grandchildren and nine great-grand children.
The family would like to extend special thanks to all those who cared for "Mom" at Commonwealth in Christiansburg and to Good Samaritan Hospice who was our lifeline to her during the pandemic when visiting was non-existent.
