In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Raines and Jewell Helms Raines; and his brother Bruce Raines. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Q. Raines; his children, Paula Sue Raines and Anthony Dean Raines (Doug Moses); his brother Gary; his sisters-in-law, Lisa Raines and Shirley Raines; and his cousin Terry Martin.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Westview Cemetery (723 Roanoke St E, Blacksburg, VA 24060).
