With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Calmes Long (Blacksburg, Virginia), who passed away on August 8, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Calmes (Evelyn Scarlett Black) and D. C.. She is survived by: her former husband Donald B. Barnes; her husband Robert A. Long; her children, Robin Speer, Deborah Long and Jeffrey Long (Nancy); and her grandchildren, Scott Speer (Amber), Shawn Long, Stephanie Long, Cory Long (Haylee) and Jessica Long (John MacGregor). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
