He was predeceased by: his mother Lucy Vaught Cole; his wife Elizabeth Paulette Vaught (Polly); his daughter Patricia B. Vaught; and his siblings, Marshall Cole, Gene Cole, Cindy Morris (Rita) and Roger Cole.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamela; his son-in-law Richard Vaught; his sons, Gary Vaught and Barry Vaught (Cindy Journell); his siblings, Doyle Vaught (Linda) and Haven Cole (Susie); his sisters-in-law, Rosemary Cole and Darlene Cole; and his close friends, Leroy, Paulette Frazier and Roscoe Hall. He is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four Great-Great-Grandchildren.
