He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Compton and Winnie Compton; his wife Georgia Compton; his siblings, Carl, Gordon, McArthur and Carol Frances Cumbee (Fran); and his brothers-in-law, Clarence Viers and Alvin Akers.
He is survived by: his sisters, Nelva Viers Akers, Dot (Jimmy Howery), Cathy (Kenneth Meador) and Pat (Melvin Barnett); his stepdaughter Karen Russell (Mark); his grandchildren, Kaitlin Price, Kalley, Evan Ahmann and Kolten Price; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Compton, Mary Page Compton, Gilbert Cumbee and Arnold Lafon. He is also survived by friends and family members.
